Milli Savunma Bakanlığından yapılan açıklamaya göre, ABD Savunma Bakan Vekili Shanahan, Milli Savunma Bakanı Akar’a bir mektup gönderdi.

Shanahan, iki ülke arasındaki savunma ve güvenlik konularını kapsayan mektubunda, mevcut sorunlara stratejik ortaklık çerçevesinde ve kapsamlı güvenlik iş birliğini muhafaza edecek şekilde bir çözüm bulunması yönünde beklentisini dile getirdi, görüşmelere devam edilmesinin önemini ifade etti.
