Düzce’de 18 Temmuz günü meydana gelen sel felaketinde Akçakoca ilçesine bağlı Esmahanım köyünde yaşayan 2 aileden 4’ü çocuk 7 kişi kayboldu.
Kaybolan vatandaşları arama çalışmalarında 19 Temmuz’da Fatma Töngel’in, 21 Temmuz’da Cengiz Töngel’in, 22 Temmuz’da ikizlerden 7 yaşındaki Sanem Kaplan’ın, 23 Temmuz’da da anne Nilgün ile kızı 9 yaşındaki Funda Kaplan’ın, dün ise Sinem Kaplan’ın cansız bedenleri bulundu.
Kayıp olan 3 yaşındaki Kağan Töngel’i bulmak için sabahın erken saatlerinde çalışmalara yeniden başlandı. Ekipler, hem derenin içinde hem de karada arama yaparken Uğurlu köyü ile Kozlu köyü arasındaki köprünün yakınında dere yatağının kenarında Kağan Töngel’in cansız bedenine ulaştı.
