Mersin Valiliğinden yapılan açıklamada, “PKK/KCK terör örgütü ile iltisaklı faaliyetleri nedeniyle Diyarbakır, Mardin ve Van Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanlarının görevden alınması sebebiyle ilimiz genelinde gerçekleştirilebilecek ve belirtilen konuların devamı niteliğindeki açık ve kapalı yer toplantıları, yürüyüş, basın açıklaması, açlık grevi, oturma eylemi, stant açma, çadır kurma, bildiri dağıtma, protesto eylemi her türlü eylem ve etkinlikler 30 Ağustos tarihinden itibaren 10 gün boyunca yasaklanmıştır.” ifadesi kullanıldı.
Yasak kararının, kamu esenliğinin ve genel asayişin devamının sağlanması, suç işlenmesinin önlenmesi, vatandaşların can ve mal güvenliklerinin korunması amacıyla alındığı duyuruldu.
