Manchester Havalimanı’ndan İslamabad’a PK702 koduyla yapılması planlanan uçuşun hemen öncesinde bir yolcu, tuvalet sanarak acil çıkış kapısını açtı.
Kapının açılmasıyla birlikte tahliye kaydırağı açıldı ve 38 yolcunun tamamı uçaktan ayrıldı.
Uçaktaki tahliye sistemlerinin kullanılması sebebiyle yolcular başka bir uçağa nakledildi.
Cuma günü saat 21.20’de planlanan uçuş, 8 saatlik rötarın ardından cumartesi günü sabah saatlerinde yapıldı.
