Türk tıbbının duayen isimlerinden Opr. Dr. Kemal Bayazıt için sabah saatlerinde İstanbul Başkent Üniversitesi Hastanesi önünde, ardından da kuruluşunda görev aldığı Dr. Siyami Ersek Göğüs Kalp ve Damar Cerrahisi Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi’nde tören düzenlendi.
Daha sonra Bayazıt için Şakirin Camii’nde öğle namazını müteakip cenaze namazı kılındı. Törene, Bayazıt’ın eşi Müşerref, kızları Emel ve Itır Bayazıt’ın yanı sıra yakınları, çalışma arkadaşları, öğrencileri, hekimlerle sevenleri katıldı. Cenaze namazının kılınmasının ardından Bayazıt’ın cenazesi, Karacaahmet Mezarlığı’nda toprağa verildi.
Opr. Dr. Kemal Bayazıt, 26 Haziran’da tedavi gördüğü hastanede çoklu organ yetmezliği nedeniyle vefat etmişti.
